6.3 Increment

The product increment is the most important scrum artefact and the stepping stones towards the Product Goal. It is important that each Increments work together with prior Increments, ensuring tht all works together. The must be usable to add value.

More Increments may be created within a Sprint and all of the Increments is presented at the Sprint Review thus supporting empiricism. An Increment can also be delivered to stakeholders prior to the end of the Sprint, there are no point in waiting if it is ready and can add value. The Sprint Review should never be considered a gate to releasing value.

Work cannot be considered part of an Increment unless it meets the Definition of Done.
